Registering your Product keys

Thank you for purchasing your software licences from Zen Software

For instructions on how to install and activate your new licence key, please click on the appropriate product on the left.

  • BackupAssist

    How to activate your BackupAssist licence key(s)

    Just renewed your upgrade cover?

    If you've just renewed your BackupAssist key's upgrade cover, then your software should automatically recognise this within 24 hours when it next 'calls home' so no further action is required on your part.

    Note: if for any reason you need to force an early call home, you can do so by de-activating and then re-activating your existing keys from 'Help -> Licensing' within the BackupAssist console.

    Just purchased a new key?

    Launch the BackupAssist console and select 'Licensing...' from the 'Help' menu.

    Click the 'Activate...' button (note: there may be a few seconds pause here).

    Enter your new registration key (copy/paste recommended) and then click the 'Add another key' button.

    If you have any other add-on licence keys you can enter each one in turn in the same way.

    Once you've added all your keys click the 'Activate' button to complete the process.

    Once activated, the BackupAssist Console may restart itself if required otherwise click the 'Close' button.

  • MailStore

    How to activate your MailStore licence key

    Run the MailStore client and log in to your MailStore server as the 'admin' account,

    From the left hand section of the interface click 'Administrative Tools', then 'Miscellaneous', then 'Licence Management'.

    Just renewed your upgrade cover or increased your user count?

    If you've just renewed your MailStore key's upgrade cover or upgraded the user count, click on the 'Update License Information' button.

    Check the details (they shouldn't need changing) and click 'OK' to force a 'call home'.

    The MailStore client will restart and the licence information should be updated.

    Just purchased a new key?

    Click the 'Install License...' button and enter your registration key (copy/paste recommended) and company name before clicking the 'OK' button.

    The MailStore client will restart and should now show as fully licenced.

  • MDaemon

    How to activate your MDaemon licence key(s)

    Note: When updating licence keys, MDaemon will prompt you to restart its service but if a restart isn't convenient or you are updating more than one key at a time, you can usually get away with clicking the 'No' button to delay the restart until a more convenient time.

    From within the Windows 'Start' menu, locate and click 'Start MDaemon' to open the MDaemon console window.

    From the 'Help' menu select 'Register your MDaemon Software...'.

    From the 'Registration' window, select the tab which matches the product's licence key you've just purchased.

    Just renewed your upgrade cover or increased your user count?

    If your new licence key differs from the existing one, replace it with the new key (copy/paste recommended) and then click the 'Apply' button.

    If your new licence key is the same as your existing one, select the 'MDaemon' tab and then click the 'Update...' button. This will force MDaemon to 'call home' and refresh it's licence information.

    Just purchased a new key?

    Enter your new registration key (copy/paste recommended) and then click the 'Apply' button.

  • SecurityGateway

    How to activate your SecurityGateway licence key

    Access the SecurityGateway Administration interface by pointing your browser to the IP address of the server on port 4000.

    If using the web browser on the server itself, you should be able to use the address http://localhost:4000.

    Enter your SecurityGateway administrator account details and click 'Sign in'.

    On the main dashboard, in the 'Server Status' section near the top of the page click on the link 'Manage product registration and activation'

    Just renewed your upgrade cover or increased your user count?

    Scroll down the to the 'Activation Status' section and click the link 'Click here to request an updated licence file'.

    This should update the status to show the new subscription details.

    Just purchased a new key?

    Enter your contact details and new registration key (copy/paste recommended) and then and click 'Save'.
